Catalyst Sports and Ride Kanuga Bike Park are set to host their second annual adaptive mountain bike race. The event, called the Adaptive Mountain Bike Super D, is scheduled for September 2nd – 3rd, 2023, and is part of the bike park’s End of Summer Jam.

The race is sponsored by Catalyst Sports who is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, but has adaptive sports programs throughout the Southeast. Their mountain biking hubs are in Knoxville, TN and Asheville, NC, which is nearby to the event. In the summer of 2021, Catalyst hosted an AMTB demo tour that stopped in 9 cities in the Southeast offering people test rides and clinics to promote offroad adaptive cycling. The race is an extension of their effort to build the sport and raise participation and awareness in the community.

Ride Kanuga Bike Park, located in Hendersonville, NC, was founded by pro downhill racer Neko Mulally. Their goal is to provide trails and riding experiences for all ability levels. So collaborating with Catalyst to provide the venue for this race was a natural fit.

Details will be released closer to the event, but for more information, please reach out to Catalyst Sports at info@catalystsports.org
